Food prices are starting to skyrocket. Pinto beans and red beans are pushing two dollars a pound now with most beans at over a dollar a pound. Most rice’s are pushing over a dollar a pound with red and white hard wheat at all times highs at over 50 cents a pound. These are dry bulk 40 and 50 lb bag prices not retail store prices. A quick look at Blue Chip group and Honeyville grain prices here in Salt lake show some foods have become so rare they are pushing ridiculous price ranges especially in the freeze dried foods. Freeze dried Beef is even more ridiculous. Blue Chip also does not have available some types of Bleached and Unbleached enriched all purpose flours. About half of their flour price list is not available. I think we will see many of the prices on the rest of the foods start going through the roof very shortly. Plan accordingly……..
